To create and execute the brand, marketing and PR strategy for the Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s (MQFF) 2020 edition.
It was integral that the MQFF 2020 campaign reflect the festival’s 30th anniversary of fostering community and connection via the presentation of queer cinema and purposeful programming.
Amplifying the festival’s main message of inclusion, community and celebration of the entire spectrum of the LGBTQI+ peoples, the tagline ‘Stories in Every Colour’ centred the diversity of the audience and the films that were showcased.
The tagline, inclusive messaging and vivid image treatment – which honours the LGBTQI+ flag – invites audiences of the entire spectrum to enrich themselves with the power of queer cinema.
Multiple sold-out sessions, a dramatic increase in ticket sales for key events with over 12,000 tickets sold pre-festival.
